Brown ground meat and drain; add onion. Place on low heat and stir in tomatoes. Add tomato paste and stir. Add water until mixture is not too thick, but not too thin. Add a pinch of salt, pepper, garlic powder and a palmful of Italian seasonings. Place on high heat and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to medium. Let simmer 20-25 minutes. The longer, the better, the taste.
