Easy Veal Marsala for Two

Make an elegant dinner for you and your sweetie with this quick and easy veal marsala.
 

Ingredients

  • 6 pieces veal, small and well pounded Flour for dredging
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 portobello mushrooms, sliced
  • Fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Marsala wine
  • Other red wine

Method

Dredge veal in flour. Pour oil in pan and heat well before adding veal. Add veal in pan; brown on one side then turn over and add remaining ingredients, except wine. Cover and cook for about five minutes. Add about 3/4 cup wine to pan (even mix of two wines.) Let simmer five to 10 minutes until veal is tender.

 

Notes: This is a quick way to make veal marsala; you must use marsala wine, not a cooking wine. If your veal is pounded it comes out so very tender. It's a nice dinner for two served with a salad, pasta and a bottle of wine.
