Bread and Pasta Combo

An easy, and delicious one-dish meal--pasta in a tomato and meat sauce with parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 pkg Pillsbury garlic breadsticks
  • 1 lb penne rigate or pasta of your choice
  • 1 large jar spaghetti sauce
  • 3 tbs Parmesan cheese
  • 1 8 oz pkg mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbs melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic salt

Method

Brown ground beef and onions until meat is no longer pink. Cook pasta until tender. In large mixing bowl combine meat, pasta and spaghetti sauce. Season with garlic salt; transfer to a large greased baking pan. Sprinkle mozzarella on top. Roll out breadsticks, do not pull apart. Place breadsticks on top of mixture. Brush breadsticks with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Place in preheated 375 degree oven until breadsticks are golden brown.

 

Notes: Serve with side salad.
